When it’s hot out, try this Ayurveda Cold Infusion!
COLD INFUSION
CUCUMBER MOCKTAIL
(serves 2)
two 8 oz mason jars with lids
juice of 1 lime (extra lime wedges for garnish)
1 cucumber, peeled
sprig of fresh mint (optional)
In lieu of drinking heat inducing beverages during summer (like alcohol) — try a cooling elixir instead.
Especially during persistent heat, Cold Infusions are a great way to cool your body down from the inside out:
Roll lime to express its juice
Squeeze lime juice, divided, into the bottom of each 8 oz mason jar
Peel the cucumber and cut into thin slices
Place 5-6 slices in the bottom of each jar
Add 1-2 mint leaves to each jar
Fill jars with regular filtered water
Cover with lid and shake
Place jar in the refrigerator and steep for at least a few hours, up to 8 hours, or even overnight
Remove from the fridge and let sit 15 min before you consume
