Cooling Elixir for Warm Weather

Updated: Mar 4

When it’s hot out, try this Ayurveda Cold Infusion!

COLD INFUSION

CUCUMBER MOCKTAIL

(serves 2)

  • two 8 oz mason jars with lids

  • juice of 1 lime (extra lime wedges for garnish)

  • 1 cucumber, peeled

  • sprig of fresh mint (optional)

In lieu of drinking heat inducing beverages during summer (like alcohol) — try a cooling elixir instead.

Especially during persistent heat, Cold Infusions are a great way to cool your body down from the inside out:

  1. Roll lime to express its juice

  2. Squeeze lime juice, divided, into the bottom of each 8 oz mason jar

  3. Peel the cucumber and cut into thin slices

  4. Place 5-6 slices in the bottom of each jar

  5. Add 1-2 mint leaves to each jar

  6. Fill jars with regular filtered water

  7. Cover with lid and shake

  8. Place jar in the refrigerator and steep for at least a few hours, up to 8 hours, or even overnight

  9. Remove from the fridge and let sit 15 min before you consume

Relax and Enjoy!
