"What's My Dosha?" ... is not the right question

Updated: May 19

Often, I hear ... "What's my dosha?"

My short answer?

That's not the most important question.

Here's why...

You were born with a special and unique doshic constitution.

The tangible energies of each dosha run throughout and within you in specific combination. This combination is what makes each person unique and what creates your unique doshic balance. Reducing the complexity of your constitution down a singular "dosha" would oversimplify the unique masterpiece that you are.

What is Dosha?

Each dosha is part of Nature and exists within all matter.

Each dosha is present in every plant, season, food, and in YOU.

All matter and every person is born with a unique combination of the doshas, which makes YOU incredibly uniquegiving you unique experiences + unique places for finding and maintaining balance. Your constitution is infinitely more complex in comparison to one singular doshic theory.

What's the solution?

Begin by asking different types of questions!

Try these ponderings instead:

  • How am I unique?

  • Do I feel balance?

  • What feels right for me?

  • What is currently working for me?

  • When did I feel most healthy in my life?
