Watching me try to communicate with a dog (or any animal really) is a hilarious endeavor.
Specifically on our honeymoon, husband and I were walking along the beach... just the two of us.
And that secluded beach felt so romantic.
That is, until a pack of wild dogs came charging around the bend, marching toward us.
And I froze.
You see, I am actually terribly afraid of dogs.
Knowing this, my sweet husband quickly ran in the direction away from me, clapping his hands, leaving me totally alone, hoping the pack would follow him ... instead of linger around me.
The minute he left my side however, I TOTALLY FREAKED OUT.
Because ever since I was young, I have had this fear of dogs.
So when he and I discussed adding a dog to our family and my sweet husband of almost 15 years said to me, "Are you ready?"
I said, "No."
"But I don't know if I ever will be... so we should just do it!"
I needed to confront my fears.
Husband said it would be impossible to be afraid of my own dog...
So we brought home sweet baby Ginger.
And instantly, I fell deeply in LOVE.
Who knew that puppy kisses and puppy love was the most amazing feeling in the whole wide world?
Well, I suppose husband knew...
Welcome Home sweet baby Ginger.
